Shall we take a look at how a recovery model operates viz a traditional medico- a psychological approach to dealing with mental health issues in clients? From the perspective of the individual with a mental health issue, recovery means gaining and retaining hope, understanding of one’s abilities, engagement inactive life, personal autonomy, social identity, meaning and purpose in life, and a positive sense of self.
